Clamcleat® rope cleats now need little introduction. The principle of the converging tapered grooves ensures grip without wear. Simply lay the rope which will automatically cleat under load. To release just jerk upwards.
This cleat is primarily used on dinghy rudders. It flips up when a set load is exceeded. The C257 is easily reset or adjusted for different release loads, even out on the water. It takes lines from 4-6mm. Dimensions are 68mm long, and 24mm wide with 36mm fixing hole centres.
